Deborah Craven
Deborah Craven began her Art Training as a fibre artist in 1975, at Georgian College, faculty of Design Arts and Technology. She then studied at The Banff Centre and at The Alberta College of Art, Calgary. Ever searching to fine tune her art form, Deborah achieved her BFA at Concordia University and Teaching of the Arts; Specialist; at McGill University. She was a fine arts teacher in both Quebec and Ontario until 2018.
Deborah found a rekindled love of working with clay and is a current member of the Kawartha Potters Guild, Peterborough, completely immersed in experimenting and playing with new ideas and expression. Deborah’s studio, Wheel Works Pottery, is in the hamlet of Cambray, Ontario. The studio/gallery is usually open; however, it is wise to call ahead just in case she is covered in mud.
