Joy McCallister
Joy McCallister is a Nova Scotia born artist who is inspired by her background in dance, her maritime roots, and her love of music and nature.
Her preference is for high impact art with vibrant colours and a sense of rhythm and movement. Having fun with her subject matter is paramount. Joy began exploring art in 1995, and since then has experimented with many art forms along her primarily self-taught art journey. Although her interests remain varied in terms of subject and medium, she has developed a preference for abstract realism imposed on intimate views of nature. She works mostly with acrylics and oils.
Joy settled in Kirkfield in 2008 after retirement from a career based in Ontario and Quebec.
