Kelly Maw
Based in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes I am a full-time artist and art teacher dedicated to bringing vibrant stories to life on canvas. My work is defined by its energetic colours, rich multi-layered textures and a dynamic exploration of multiple mediums. For me, painting is a deeply spiritual experience; it is where I discover the serene joy of solitude and the rewarding magic of creative flow. This deep inner joy is the heartbeat of my work infusing every layer with life and emotion. A piece of my heart is in all of my art… and maybe the odd golden retriever hair…
When I am not creating in my own studio, I am sharing that passion with others. I teach painting lessons from my home and on zoom, guiding students to discover their own unique artistic voices. My original pieces are available online. You can also view my work in my home studio in Cameron or at The Owen Sound Artist Co-op where I am a long term member of a vibrant arts community. Whether teaching or painting, my mission is to share the brilliant, colourful joy of creativity with my community.
