At a young age, I had an interest in art and had an opportunity to attend art school. However, I decided to study film and television production. I stopped drawing; my skills stagnated. I tried picking it up again by illustrating a children’s story. They were simple and rough. When I completed the illustrations, I stopped drawing again. I stopped doing art again. Only in the last few years, I got back into art with the help of a monthly word prompt challenge. I started using ink and watercolours, creating cartoony scenes for the yearly event.
When it was over, I spent hours drawing strange abstract creatures on skateboards and wooden canvases. I began drawing the abstract style within animals’ fur and feathers, using them as containers for my cartoony creatures. I continued to do this digitally. I started painting on canoe paddles and cutting boards. My style became simple and less cartoony; I used colour more often.
