Call for Submissions:
OUR 3rd annual Winter Makers’ Market

Kawartha Lakes Arts Council is excited to invite our members to submit their work for the upcoming Winter Makers’ Market. This juried market offers a wonderful opportunity to showcase and sell your original creations just in time for the holiday season!

We look forward to your submissions and can’t wait to celebrate the creativity within our community at this festive event!

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2024

Please ensure you read through the following before applying. Good luck!

    • All submissions must be original works created by the artist/artisan. The KLAC Board reserves the right to request removal of any non-compliant work.

    • Applicant must be a KLAC Member in good standing for 2024

    • Artwork will be evaluated based on:

      • Originality

      • Quality

      • Marketability

  • To be considered for the Winter Makers' Market, please fill out the application form by Friday, October 25, 2024. You will need to provide the following information:

    1. Your name

    2. Business name (if applicable)

    3. Email address and phone number

    4. Type of craft/media

    5. A short artist statement about you and your creative process

    6. Three (3) to five (5) colour photos that showcase the quality and variety of your work

    7. A price list reflecting the variety and price ranges of your work (please include prices for any submitted images)

    *Please note that only original pieces created by the applicant will be considered for approval.

    • All applicants must be members of Kawartha Lakes Arts Council for 2024.

    • Applications must be received by Friday, October 25, 2024.

    • Selected participants will be notified via email by Friday, October 31, 2024.

    • A $75 participation fee will be required upon receipt of the successful application email.

    • The event will take place at Cambridge Mall (18 Cambridge Street South) in Downtown Lindsay. The event space will be locked overnight to prevent theft.

    • Artists are responsible for providing their own tables, chairs, and display racks, as well as setting up/taking down their displays during this two day event.

    • Photos provided by successful applicants may be used by KLAC for promotion of this event.

    • Exhibitors are encouraged to promote the show via social media and email lists. Thank you in advance!
