Kevin Grew
Kevin Grew Kevin has always had a passion for animals. She has been involved with dogs all her life, as a breeder of Bearded Collies and Tibetan Terriers, as well as an active participant in conformation dog shows, agility, herding, obedience and rally events. It was only natural that Kevin began to explore capturing these incredible souls in an art form. Horses, cats, birds, wildlife… all equally excite her imagination to re-create. Colour pencil art, and the level of realism that it allows, became her choice of expression. Kevin’s goal is to capture the ‘essence’, the ‘soul’ of the animal. The nobility of the German Shepherd, the haughtiness of the Lhasa Apso, the perpetual playfulness of the Shih Tzu, to the fearlessness and protection of the large guard dogs. Kevin has always enjoyed creativity and began her love of drawing a year ago, starting with some online tutorials, joining an online Art Academy and branching out into commissions of beloved pets. Joining local art clubs and submitting her art has been a rewarding and exciting experience. Kevin feels it is always an honour to be given the exposure to exhibit her art and to share gallery space with so much talent we have here in Ontario.
